What Is Involved In Studying This Course?
This qualification delivers the specialist knowledge and skills you need, including appropriate legislation, inspection and testing techniques, completing and issuing certificates or reports and understanding of results and measurements.
2391-52 Combined Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing: Intended for experienced electricians who have never gained formal qualifications in inspection and testing or who may wish to update and reaffirm their skills.
Assessment will be through a multiple-choice on-line test and a practical task.
What Careers Can This Lead To?
This qualification is intended for practising electricians who want to expand their skills and knowledge in the area of Initial Verification and/or Periodic Inspection and continue their professional development.
On successful completion learners can also progress on to the City & Guilds Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
Pre-requisites
This qualification is aimed at electricians working within domestic and/or non-domestic premises and they shall hold as a minimum;

A Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 (current edition)
and - A good understanding of how to Inspect & Test Electrical Installations.
If you do not, we recommend you also undertake a Fundamentals of Inspection & Testing Course beforehand
